All in all, a great evening - made some new friends, met lots of old friends, put faces to names and had a top night rocking with BC.

SBE saw a sellout crowd reminisce to the old BC and celebrate in the brilliance of the new material ('Dive Into Me' [which is a vastlyimproved track verging on the anthemic], 'Somebody Else' [where BC sound like Del Amitri] and 'President', to name but three) for almost two hours. Watching from the sidelines (due to getting a fractured ankle at SECC gig), I watched in awe (and jealousy) as the crowd pogoed for the duration, even through the unfamiliar new songs, and God, how I wished I was in there. The "Golden Oldies" went down a storm, I particularily loved the reworked I'm Not Ashamed with Harvest Home insert, while the new songs are shaping up well and once the CD comes out, I have a feeling ifs going to become one of the fave BC albums.

It was brilliant to see so many people turning up and packing out the SBE to see and hear BC showcase the new album. Standout tracks for me were 'Dive Into Me', 'I Get Hurt' and 'Driving To Damascus'. It was also very pleasing to hear 'Just A Shadow' after such an absence from the BC setlist. I'm sure I have now passed the 100 BC gig mark now, (ifs hard to keep track after all these years and old age and so on) so thanks to SBTM for them all and here's to the next 100 9.
