|‘Radical Measures’ is basically about exactly what it says on the tin. It’s just about taking radical measures to change one’s life. And if anybody can understand what it’s like to be in a band that’s, you know, had a fair amount of success done well and very respected for what they do and all of a sudden, you can’t do it anymore, it’s either you wallow in your memories of the best days or you kind of put that into a backspace in your mind and say “Well, I’m still proud of that and that’s always going to be there. I’ll always be respectful for that. But I’ve got to go and do something different. ” And I just wanted to write a song which, kind of, pictured that whole kind of spirit and that whole kind of endeavor, but paint it in a very extravagant and overblown way. And, you know, it’s almost like having a facelift and having cosmetic surgery but instead of actually altering your physical features, you’re altering your mental features as well. So, it’s kind of a deep song in that particular way. But I wanted it to be a big rock song as well.
